What’s my freak? That’s the question that started Big Dad’s Garden. The brief was simple: create a brand that says something about who you are. So naturally, I went with pickled vegetables. I spent most of my summer in my friends’ garden (I had a small one too), picking veggies, tossing them on burgers, or dropping them into Bloody Marys. It became the taste of my summer.

Big Dad’s Garden was born from that vibe: laid-back, a little weird, and full of flavor. It’s meant to make pickled veggies fun again, because let’s be honest, everything pickled (besides pickles) on the shelves looks pretty lifeless.

Anyway, enjoy Big Dad. I wish he were real.

Big Dad is the face of the brand, inspired by hometown farmers and a friend who calls himself “Big Dad” (the resemblance ends at the name). Based on a Camilo Castro illustration, he’s covered in veggie tattoos, dressed in dirt-stained overalls, and knuckles that spell out his name, he’s proudly devoted to the brine life.

Each jar of Big Dad’s Garden features Big Dad himself, proudly showing off the star of the brine. The lid color matches the veggie inside, so it’s easy to grab your favorite. To keep things fun, every jar gets a few randomly placed stickers, making each one feel a little unique and collectible.

and you KNOW Big Dad had to team up with Hayday.
